I hate rust. I really hate rust, especially on cars. Being a gear head working on my own cars, it is a constant battle. The rust penetrants that I could find on the store shelves really did not seem to be much help. I started researching different brands and mixtures in an effort to find something that would aid in the fight. Yes, a torch is a handy tool, but not everything can take the heat. I needed something that would work on its own AND compliment torch use when needed. 

Over the course of six years and many, many hours of testing, by the grace of God, we now had a rust penetrant that was effective. I called it Loose Juice® and the name stuck. It was a 1966 Ford Galaxie that convinced me to actually start the company. That old 352 V8 had a cracked exhaust manifold. With nothing more than some of my formula, a few hand tools and a prayer, the project to change that 50+ year old original manifold began. No torch was on hand. The outcome was simply amazing! No broken studs, no stripped threads and no rounded nuts. Praise God! This was enough for me to say it was time to go to production... or so I thought. The aerosol company that I had been working with was bought by a large national company. They told me that my project was too small. Delayed but not dismayed, the search began to find another company to can Loose Juice®. I was told of a little, employee-owned company that had just brought themselves back from that same national company that was my roadblock. I liked their story and we soon began producing Loose Juice®. 

Currently, we have tested against forty brands of rust penetrants. Many are likely just privately labeled, a rebranding of other manufactured brands. Based on industry tests, there appears to be three levels of formulation. The consumer grade is what you typically find on store shelves. The commercial grade is roughly twice as effective as the consumer grade. The industrial grade is the strongest, most potent formulation. This is the class where Loose Juice® competes. To date, we have not found a stronger, more effective competitive rust penetrant. 

Being a full strength, industrial rust penetrant, Loose Juice® is a product that is focused on commercial and industrial markets. Originally, the formula was not available to the public. In the past, if you were not in the trades, it simply was not available for purchase. Knowing that there are responsible people out there fighting corroded hardware, the decision was made to make it available to the public. Remember, Loose Juice® is an industrial level product that is made for professionals... not for clowns.
